This is the tale of a girl who longed to be out of quarantine and what happened in the two weeks away from the office working from home. This girl is me, Erin, and if you’ve ever worked from home while quarantining from COVID, maybe these many different stages of quarantine sound familiar to you. Your house comes down with COVID, forcing you to quarantine and work from home. You don’t panic, you just…PIVOT!
At first, you think the idea of ordering takeout and wearing sweat pants all day doesn’t sound too bad.
But three days in…you’ve ordered one too many meals from DoorDash and your bank account is feelin’ it .
But like it’s fine, you’re fine, everything is totally fine…ha.
Eventually, FOMO begins to set in, and you realize this whole quarantine thing isn’t as fun as it sounds.
So you sit and wait and wonder when you may be able to return to the office.
And annoy your office with Slack messages until they respond to you.
You start to think you might just be alone forever.
And you wonder if you’re actually starting to go a little crazy.
But alas, you receive the news that it’s safe to return!
So long, COVID quarantine. I will not miss you.
